Royalty Trust Information

A royalty trust is a type of corporation that is usually involved in the production of gas, oil, or minerals. Generally, tax information for royalty trust investments is included on your 1099 consolidated reporting statement; however, additional information containing depletion schedules, historical information, state income tax deductions and credits, and state apportionments is furnished in a separate tax booklet and is available on individual royalty trust websites. For your convenience, we have provided links to many of these sites below to assist you with preparing your tax return and computing your income.

Because the IRS requires royalty trusts to furnish their tax booklets to investors by March 15, the information for the 2011 tax year may not be available until that date.
